The Beatrice Wleh Scholarship Foundation provides opportunities for people who share its vision to engage in its operation through financial assistance, as well as volunteering. 

The Foundation will contribute to public policies through activism for its goal of secondary educational opportunities without financial obstacles.

Scholarship Details

Guidelines: Scholarships will be awarded on a semester basis and disbursed in each semester applied for.

Amount: Each scholarship awarded will be a minimum of $100 USD semi- annually to be paid in two equal installments.

Criteria

The students eligible for assistance must be low-income families with kids who reside in the West Point and Power Plain area and intend to continue their education. Consideration will be given to academic achievement, financial need and the student’s community service record. Students cannot use bribes to increase their grades or get a passing grade. Students should submit a scholarship application on the form provided by The Beatrice Wleh Scholarship Foundation.

An essay must be submitted by each applicant. The essay must be on the following subjects.

  1. Tell us about yourself and family?
  2. Tell us about your dream?
  3. Tell us about your strengths and weaknesses?
  4. What sport do you play and your challenges and why?
  5. Why do you deserve this scholarship?
  6. Who is your role model and why?
  7. What personal achievement that makes you proud?
  8. Tell us about your favorite book, movie or song and why?
  9. Ask us any questions and submit it to the BWSF scholarship committee.
